The Children’s Village Trust supports Lily of the Valley and iKhethelo Children’s Villages, providing loving family homes with dedicated house mothers. For over 25 years, we have cared for orphaned and vulnerable children, building brighter futures through love, family, education, and hope. Through our LAUNCH Graduate Programme, we equip young adults with skills, mentorship, and employment opportunities, helping them break out of the orphan and poverty cycle and reach their God-given potential.

From Children's Village to Scotland

When Thando arrived at iKhethelo Children's Village, her future was uncertain. Through the love of a family home, access to quality education, and the support of caring mentors, she discovered her potential. After graduating from Hillcrest High School, Thando went on to Chef School, where she finished top of her class. Today, she is living her dream, working as a professional chef in Scotland, UK.

Thando's story is a powerful reminder that with love, opportunity, and the right support, vulnerable children can break free from the orphan and poverty cycle and build brighter futures.
